E-Slate Software Download Page

You may download E-Slate release 1.3 (authoring/runtime environment and a bundle of components) installation archives below (Windows98/2000/ME). To install the software, just double-click on the downloaded .exe file and follow the steps of the process. For instructions on how to use E-Slate refer to the Tutorial Microworlds and manual (.pdf) that come with the installation. Individual Microworlds may be downloaded from the Microworlds section.

Prerequisites: To run E-Slate you will need the Java 1.3 VM available from Sun here. E-Slate will auto-detect the installed VMs on your machine and ask for the prefered one to use (see the manual).

Suggested configuration: for best results, we suggest that you use a Pentium II at 366 Mhz or more with 64MB of RAM. Although the screen resolution can be of any size, to view the accompanying Microworlds properly, you will need a 1024x768 screen.

Note: This release has been tested on Windows98/2000/ME. The English version lacks full documentation.
